About Arches Ultra
Winter is the perfect time to run in Moab! For Arches Ultra, we’ve chosen a lower-elevation course that offers stunning views of the towering Moab cliffs, Arches National Park, and the snow-capped La Sal Mountains. The race takes you along the border of Arches National Park, using the Bar M, Klonzo, and Klondike Trail Systems. As an added bonus, you'll run past dinosaur tracks in Utahraptor State Park! It’s always exciting to have variety in a course, and all distances at Arches Ultra deliver just that. The trails range from smooth and easy to technical slickrock, with a little sand to keep things interesting.
Arches Ultra is part of our Run Moab Series. Check out all of our Moab races!

Charity Bibs Through Wander Project
Looking to do more with your next run? We have partnered with the nonprofit, Wander Project, to bring you charity bibs for Arches Ultra! The featured charity partner for this event is Friends of Arches and Canyonlands Parks which inspires people to love and preserve our Southeast Utah National Parks and Monuments.
Register for a charity bib here: https://runsignup.com/Race/UT/Moab/ArchesUltraCharityBibs
How does a charity bib work?
A charity bib is a free entry into our event in exchange for helping raise awareness and funds for a charitable organization of your choice.
Once you register for a charity bib, you will be automatically prompted to set up a fundraising page through Wander Project’s peer-to-peer fundraising platform. From here, Wander Project will give you the tools and resources needed to engage your friends and family in your fundraising efforts to support a charity of your choice. That’s right, YOU choose the cause - environment, arts, education, health, whatever drives you to do good in the world. Wander Project will support you every step of your fundraising journey.
Fundraising commitments range from $500-$5,000 depending on the event. Please understand that by signing up for a charity bib, you are making a serious commitment to raise the amount you agreed to. If you are not able to meet the minimum fundraising amount by the week of the race, you will be required to pay the difference. All donations are final.
We look forward to seeing you turn your passion into purpose and make a difference in the world!

Volunteer with Mad Moose!
Join the Mad Moose Herd and make a difference in the running community by volunteering at one of our upcoming events. It's always a fun time!
As a volunteer you'll have the chance to support runners. As a thank you for your time and effort, we offer credits toward free race entries of your choice. (Friends and Family - You can earn race credits for your runner to use toward their next Mad Moose Event!)
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just love being a part of the action, we have volunteer opportunities for everyone.
Some of our aid stations require 4 x 4 access in remote areas. We are always in need of volunteers to drive to far out aid stations and transport some gear. If you enjoy driving to beautiful places, come help us out.
